Meet Carolyn Gallo of Richmond, MI, a creative photographer of bright flowers, lush nature, urban landscapes and much more. She says that photography has completely changed the way she sees the world. She strives to view ordinary things in extraordinary ways. She is constantly inspired by the details of everyday places and objects, and she tries to approach her subjects in an unconventional or unusual way.
What inspired you to start creating your artwork and how did you turn it into a business?
I am fascinated by light and color. If I didn't have creative outlets I would go mad. I am turning this into a business in order to feed my photography habit!
What do you most love about the creative process?
The reverie: getting "lost" in the creative process. The whole world disappears when I get "in the zone."
What do you remember wanting to be when you grew up?
An artist and a pilot. There was never any doubt in my mind that I would choose the creative path.
What do you enjoy doing besides making art?
Chasing my 3 year old, sewing, web-surfing, DIY projects for the home.
Quotes you love or live by:
"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great." -- Mark Twain
