Updated: Jan 24, 2022

Amy Miller is the talented artist and creator behind 'Daily Karmas'.

She creates charming beach-glass photos that align seamlessly with her company mission statement, "Recycling something that nature recycled first."

Where do you gather most of your inspiration for you artwork? From the natural world. Being outside and paying attention to all of the beauty that's around me.

Any tips or inspiring words for other?

Everyone has some artistic talent. Whether it's needlepoint, knitting, painting, sewing, metal-work, jewelry, or any other artistic expression like singing, poetry or dancing. It is a matter of developing your talent, and that takes time and patience. Decide what artistic medium brings you joy and set aside enough time to do it!

What is your favorite piece of work you've created?

I get attached to many of my pieces, but also feel really good when someone else feels a connection to a piece. I have only one piece that I've kept. I love it because the middle of the flower is a perfectly round piece of lavender glass.

What are your goals for the future, both artistically and in life?

I want to continue to refine and develop my skills as an artist. That includes taking classes and learning more about other mediums to enhance my work with beach glass and natural objects like driftwood, stones, seaweed and plants. In life, my most important goal is to be an example of my golden rule; "Love is always the answer and in the end, nothing matters except for love."

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given? NEVER let someone else control your emotions. You give up your power when you allow others to influence how you feel. And, be you own, best, self promoter! No one else will do it for you.

Do you admire any artists? Many! But my favorite is my brother-in-law who is an amazing artist who creates beautiful oil and watercolor marine art. I also love the work of Castle Keith, MC Escher, Gustav Klimt, and Peter Paul Rubens.

What are some of your favorite reads?

'Johnny Got His Gun' by Dalton Trumbo

'A Confederacy of Dunces' by John Kennedy Toole 'Outlander' by Diana Gabaldon 'Game of Thrones' by George RR Martin

What do you like to listen to? Van Morrison!!! Michael Franti, and Motown.

What is something you can't live without? Fresh water and chocolate!

Favorites!! Color: Blue Pet/Animal: Dogs Season: Summer! Movie: The Jewel in the Crown Board Game: Backgammon Holiday: Thanksgiving Website: New York Times Cup of Coffee: Green Tea Ice Cream: Mint Chocolate Chip

If you could choose one, what super power would you have?

The ability to breathe underwater. There is a whole world, under two-thirds of this world, to explore!
