Kemi is the creative mind behind Sunflower House Shoppe!
"Sunflower House Shoppe started when I began sewing for my two daughters when they got their own living spaces. I wanted to give them things that were useful and cheery. Then I did more for the rest of the family. It just grew and grew and now I have an Etsy site and love seeing all the places in the country that have some of my products! I hope the local community will like all the fun choices they have to choose from!"
What inspired you to start creating your work?
Basically, I just love making things. I love using lots of bright colors! I am a painter, photographer, and gardener as well. Sewing was just a natural way to create fun, functional objects for the home.
What do you enjoy most about being an artist?
Doing it my way! I feel gratified when I see something unique I make go into someone else's home for them to use and enjoy. There are so many beautiful, fun fabrics out there! I love to surprise people when they see a pot holder, placemat, or bowl cozy that is just right for them. I hope to add color and fun to their lives.

I love dogs! And nature! Most of my items are animals, flowers, or leaves.
